While learners are supported with regular contact to make sure they are on target to achieve their own individual aims, the role of the assessor is absolutely vital in supporting them.

Working remotely, and possibly occasionally visiting the workplace if the qualification requires, we are looking for a new breed of assessor, who does not just mark papers or assignments, but who wants to work as a team to support the development of the learner as they progress and grow.

How do we pay?

The costs are automatically calculated on a ‘learner per course’ basis, and paid per passed unit paper, in order to ensure that the learners get quality feedback should they need it, on any questions that they might not pass first time. All papers are weighted depending on how much additional evidence is required to support written knowledge based questions.

Pearl will track your passes and raise an invoice automatically – giving you full visibility – so this means that you do not need to spend time producing your own invoices.

As an example our Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Assessment returns a total per learner of £112.50 for 3 just units.

The payment rate will also reflect that you will need to support your learners via email and may need contact a learner directly to support them via phone.

Are you an assessor of the future?

Are you someone who:

  • Believes in achievement
  • Puts the learner at the heart of what they do
  • Believes that no two assignments are the same, so everyone has the right to individualised constructive feedback
  • Can offer formative guidance outside of the required academic achievement
  • Lead by example in grammar, literacy and numeracy
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of materials by suggesting revisions when recognised
  • At the top of their game and can offer real life anecdotes to help the learner understand how they will apply when in the workplace

Most importantly, someone with passion, patience and pride?

If you have those qualities, a nationally recognised qualification in a specific vocational or academic field, a qualification in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent and 2 years’ experience we’d love to hear from you.
